The XH Convertor 0,8 not only allows you to use the H Lens lineup but adds the improvement of making the 24mm even wider, to the equivalent of a 19mm on the X1D II. With its optical elements, it allows the lens to perform very well on this camera, keeping excellent sharpness right in the corners which is so important in architectural interior photography. The distortion of the lens is also well controlled by the lens and the software corrections in Phocus.

The Converter retained all the features of the X1D II, unlike some of the other adapters on the market, which was a good plus. I shoot tethered most of the time. So with the connectivity of the adaptor, all the tethering features of Phocus, including live view and full control of the camera from the laptop or iPad if using wireless tethering, are retained. This method of shooting works so well with my style of photography, allowing the fine tuning of composition with grids and full camera control from the tethering device. This can be so useful when the camera is hard to reach and also eliminates any vibration.

I really like the way the Hasselblad System allows for using many lenses and bodies together in so many different combinations. This way, the system can be used for so many different photographic applications all captured with Hasselblad medium format quality. As I have been using Hasselblad my whole career, I have many H Lenses which can have a new lease of life using the Converter.
