Hasselblad R&D is a joint department which consists of teams based on specific technical fields: hardware, software, image quality, optics, mechanics, and QA/test. Each team not only runs its daily operations independently, but also collaborates with the other teams as well as different sites and partners around the globe. Hasselblad projects are both stimulating and challenging, and we often work with the latest technology and are equipped with incredibly delightful and competent colleagues who have the highest quality in mind.

We are now looking for a driven and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our R&D team located at Hasselblad headquarters in Gothenburg, Sweden. For this role, we are expecting you to be comfortable with international collaborations and have proven experience in module and project responsibilities. You need to have a curious attitude and enjoy staying up to date with industry trends and advancements in the field.

Traveling to supplier site and our development teams in Asia will be a part of the responsibilities as a mechanical engineer. You need to be able to work autonomously on complex problems while also collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams. You will drive the process of the product from idea or concept to production.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Mechanical design and review
  • Coordinate with suppliers
  • Benchmarking competitor products
  • Technical support
  • Process improvement

REQUIREMENTS

  • University degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics engineering or equivalent
  • Experienced user of CAD tools (e.g. CREO Paramatric)
  • Experience with PLM tools (e.g. Windchill)
  • Fluent in English, both written and spoken
